Coaching plays an important role within the sport of boxing. It is a critical component to ensure the participant has a positive learning experience. Boxing Australia recommends that all coaches are accredited at the appropriate level and continue to develop themselves throughout their coaching participation.

Accreditation

Boxing Australia’s accreditation pathway and structure caters for all competition boxing coaches from Club & Community to International Coaches in AIBA Open Boxing (AOB), World Series Boxing (WSB) and AIBA Professional Boxing (APB).

The national accreditation pathway is currently being re-developed by National Head Coach Kevin Smith.The new pathway will include levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. The Level 1 component launched in April 2016 with Level 2 to launch in late 2016.
